The World's Crookedest Street - San Francisco

San Francisco is an architectual wonder. Steep roads, cable cars and incredible, breathtaking vantage points no matter where you are in the city. But the world's crookedest street is by far my favourite spot.

Located on Lombard Street...

the world's crookedest street is a must see.

in the Russian Hill neighbourhood between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, it's a one way street. My advice is to park your car at the top of the hill and walk down. Be sure to take your time and take in the incredible view of the pier and city,

snap a few shots...

and watch the slow moving cars carefully manouvering along this architectual wonder. But it's not till you get to the very bottom of the hill...

that you'll truly be able to appreciate the beauty and complexity of this stretch of road. When you stand at the bottom looking up you can't help but wonder how these homes miraculously remain standing, and how residents are able to park their cars.
